Liberals Vote Against Carbon Tax Relief for Manitobans

With winter approaching, the Liberals have ensured there won’t be any carbon tax relief for Manitobans heating their homes.

Yesterday, instead of voting for our common-sense Conservative motion to take the carbon tax off home heating, Manitoba’s Liberal MPs voted to keep taxing you and your family – even though they’ve announced relief for Canadians in other parts of the country where they’re plummeting in the polls.

Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax pause for home heating oil is nothing but a gimmick and a scam. It does nothing to help 97 percent of Canadian households, including Manitobans.

When asked why the carbon tax was paused for only a select few, the Liberal Rural Affairs Minister said that if other Canadians wanted to be able to afford to heat their homes or feed their kids, they should have elected more Liberals.

Well, there ARE a few Liberal MPs in Manitoba and not even one is willing to stand up for our province.

MPs Dan Vandal, Kevin Lamoureux, Terry Duguid, and Ben Carr chose to side with Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax over their struggling constituents.

Manitobans can’t count on the Liberals. Only common-sense Conservatives will keep the heat on and take the tax off to bring home lower prices for all Canadians.
